Today we learned that a student in the 7th and 8th grade afternoon Middle School cohort at Elverta School tested positive for COVID-19. The last date of known exposure to the classroom cohort was 1/14/2021. As we continue to follow our protocols and in abundance of caution, we are going to implement distance learning for our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students for the next two weeks. We will resume in-person learning in those grades on Tuesday, February 2. Your student’s teacher will contact you regarding the distance learning that will take place over the next two weeks. Teachers will be sending emails with the same Zoom links as previously used.
No students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 were exposed, as our protocols are designed to keep our cohorts separate from one another. The health and safety of our students and staff are our top priority, and we are committed to following all safety protocols. Thank you for partnering with us in your student’s education.

Hello Elverta Families. Winter Break is scheduled for Monday, December 21st to January 11th. School resumes on Tuesday, January 12. Due to an abundance of caution, we have extended our break to exceed 14 days after Christmas Day. Students will have schoolwork that can be done from home on January 6-8.
Enjoy Winter Break and we look forward to school resuming on using our current AM/PM schedule on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

Classes will be held Tuesday through Friday. The AM group will meet from 8:00-11:00. The PM group will meet from 12:00-3:00. Grades 6-8 will resume on Tuesday, December 1, on the same AM/PM schedule. We are excited to take these next steps. We will provide many more details in the days to come, and we must remember that Sacramento County health orders may change at any time.
