Whooping cough, also known as pertussis, continues to be widespread in California. To help stop its spread, all students in 7th through 12th grade are required by law to have proof of a whooping cough booster (Tdap), in order to attend school. Many students have already gotten this immunization during regular doctors' visits but, haven't yet updated the office. Please bring in proof of your child's Tdap Immunization as soon as possible.
If you have yet to immunize your child, this summer is a good time to get your appointment, so not to miss valuable school time.
To comply with this law: Students are required to have proof of the Tdap shot to enter 7th grade. Enrollment may be delayed if this requirement has not been met before the start of 7th grade.
